Hiking

E-mail
dphbwildwood_nbThe Wildwood Trail is considered easy level hiking. Catch the trail at the Vietnam Memorial in the Hoyt Arboretum in Washington Park. Walk it all the way to the historic Pittock Mansion, built in the early 1900s, for incredible views of the city and the mountains (Hood, St. Helens) looming in the distance.

Visit www.portlandonline.com/parks or call 503.823.PLAY for more information.

Hikers looking to venture beyond the city limits will find well-maintained scenic trails of varying lengths and difficulty in The Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood National Forest to the east and along the Oregon Coast to the west. Ask your concierge about the new Fort-to-Sea Trail, a 6.5-mile (one way) trail that follows Lewis & Clark's original route from Fort Clatsop to Sunset Beach.
