Located right downtown at the entrance to the Pearl District and steps away from Powell's Books, the legendary Crystal Ballroom and more, Zeus Café is set on the first floor of McMenamins Crystal Hotel. Open daily at 7 a.m., the café offers brunch, lunch and dinner, plus happy hour and late-night dining using in-season ingredients from a roster of local purveyors and growers. Try menu items that may include salt-brick roasted Cornish hen, shaved zucchini noodles, seared ahi tuna and more. Guests can choose from a wide-reaching yet affordable wine list or a menu of classic cocktails, handcrafted using original pre-Prohibition methods. Have a look at the original artwork commemorating the history of the location, a bar and booths made from reclaimed wood and custom-made stained glass inspired by the Grateful Dead's "Dark Star." After dinner, head downstairs to Al's Den for free, live music seven nights a week.
